This pony needs no introduction having taken all before him in the showring, a supreme champion both in-hand and under saddle. By the famous U.K. sire 'Sandbourne Royal Ensign' and out of the 'Wingrove Minkino x 'Polly's Aster'(out of Pretty Polly) mare 'Keston Fayleen', he carries a wealth of beautiful English breeding with a cross back to the wonderful sires 'Bwlch Valentino' and 'Bwlch Zephyr'. Portrait has made a tremendous current contribution to the breeding of Australian Riding Ponies and show horses.
He is probably referred to as an extreme type, with elegance, beautiful turn of front and length of rein, 3 good correct paces with natural balance and above all a wonderful temperament. He was a pleasure to train and ride.
